This petition proposes to require directors and officers reside on premises. It assures co-owners that their elected officers and directors are “up close and personal” with the community and its issues.
They will be more connected with the homeowners of our community by being more available on a personal level to association members.
As on-site residents, they will experience what the community experiences. Furthermore, with a high percentage of investor-owned units, there is the potential that the board could be controlled by off-site investors whose decisions may be profit driven and not community based.

We, the undersigned members of The Lofts at Rivertown Condominium Association, petition the Board of Directors to amend the Bylaws to require that the primary residence of directors and officers shall be at the premises of The Lofts at Rivertown, 6533 East Jefferson Avenue, City of Detroit, County of Wayne.
