"Business Performance Excellence", taught by Professor Luftig, curriculum was approved by the MCPC. The class was taught in the MBA program. The professor received extremely high FCQ scores as well as teacher of the year awards. The class was the most sought after class of all the electives and had the highest number of students out of all the electives.
Politics then came into the picture due to other tenure professors having no students sign up for their electives, thus forcing the cancellation of their electives, thus forcing the professors to react. Their choice was to move Professor Luftig out of Leeds, rather than revamp their own courses to increase student interest.
Professor Luftig's philosophy is to teach anyone willing to listen and thus records his normal class sessions and then posts them for distance learning. The MCPC then created a rule stating that no course taught to long distance students shall count for MBA credit.
Now, the course cannot be taken for credit. While the MCPC created this rule, it is not the reason for the students not to be able to take the class, it is only an excuse.
We, the undersigned, call on the Leeds School of Business, and its administration to reinstate the "Better Performance Excellence" class, as a class available to all MBA students for credit as a free elective.
