September 27 last year marked the day that the Typhoon Pedring struck the coastal areas of Navotas. The communities were wiped out leaving a sea of smashed houses and shanties.

2,886 families were reported homeless and been traumatized by the said incident. A number of them could already be found in other cities while some were already temporarily placed in barangay halls, gyms and schools.
