We are asking for your signatures to influence the Mayor and the Village Council to create a solution to our Village’s need for another Recreation Center to accommodate the influx of families who have moved and are moving here, due in part to our family-oriented neighborhoods – top rated elementary and middle schools and numerous private schools offering classes from pre-kindergarten through high school and the increasing number of public parks and playgrounds.
In recent years there has been an increase in parks and outdoor public access spaces, without the increase of indoor spaces to accommodate us when inclement weather forces us indoors.
All we ask is that the municipal government follows through with its Mission “to represent the public interest, promote quick, courteous response to residents' problems”, and in accordance with our Parks and Recreation Philosophy, “participation in recreational sports programs…. contributes to the overall happiness, well-being, and quality of life in the Village of Royal Palm Beach.”
Please take a minute to sign this petition that will be sent to Village of Royal Palm Beach Mayor and Council to make them aware of the fact that our youth and adults need an additional Recreation Center.
The Center will lessen or even relieve the frustration, aggravation and helplessness our residents have been feeling due to the limited amount of indoor recreation space and/or activities available to us during the inclement weather we’ve been having the last few years.
