This Mother's Day weekend, Facebook offered a new, temporary "reaction" to posts in the form of a shower of purple flowers, in order to let users say they were "thankful".
Facebook intended the reaction to be used specifically on Mother's Day posts (as it should be, because we love mamas), but many of us found ourselves to be pressing "thankful" on lots of different posts and articles.
It's really nice to be reminded of just how much we have to be thankful for in our lives, and this simple shower was a welcome addition to Facebook interactions.
Let's bring it back!
Dear Facebook,
Please add the "thankful" option to your regular list of reactions to posts. It makes just as much sense for it to be there as the others, and is a simple reminder of how much we truly have to be thankful for. We only had it for a couple of days, and already miss it so much.
