Bring Sam’s Club to Pine Bluff, AR

Background (Preamble):
Today exists a strong economic desire for a Sam’s Club within the Pine Bluff city limits, for this will be mutually beneficial for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and the People of Southeast Arkansas, which is a strong demographic that will support a Sam’s Club especially since there is no immediate access to a Sam’s Club in Southeast Arkansas. Jefferson County alone has excellent highway access (thus making it a prime location for a potential business center like that of Houston, TX).
There are two potential shopping centers in Pine Bluff where a Sam’s Club could open and they are as follows:
1) Pines Mall – The best location due to its easy interstate and highway access (such as its proximity to the future connector road scheduled to link Interstate 530 and Interstate 69); surrounded by several hotels/motels that attract various visitors and travelers; and close to industrial, residential, and commercial zones.
2) Jefferson Square – This location is conveniently located within two miles of the Wal-mart Supercenter of Olive Street, it also has a space available that used to be a grocery retailer with a fuel center. This shopping center is centrally located in the city and has easy access to I-530 and residential areas.
Southeast Arkansas encompasses the Southeast Arkansas Workforce Investment Area and the Southeast Economic Development District, which both include the counties of Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Grant, Jefferson, and Lincoln. Although the northwestern part of Southeast Arkansas is within a reasonable driving distance of three Sam’s Clubs, most of Southeast Arkansas is not, therefore making the need for a Sam’s Club in Southeast Arkansas even more evident. A Sam’s Club will inject jobs, goods, services, products, merchandise, and more in Southeast Arkansas. Opening one in Pine Bluff now will be a wise investment to make, so please take into consideration.

It is highly recommended that Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. open a Sam's Club in Pine Bluff, AR (preferably at the Pines Mall). This action will prove to be mutually beneficial for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and the People of Southeast Arkansas.
