We just learned that Senator Nancy Binay intends and plans to do away with having jets in the Philippine Air Force and instead use helicopters.
We clearly see that she does not understand what is meant by defense and what we already have in our arsenal.
The Philippine Air Force and Philippine Navy already have a procurement plan to acquire helicopters.
We, would like to request the Armed Forces of the Philippines who are to protect the Filipinos during time of war, invasion, intrusion by foreign powers, the Philippine Senate and Congress as well as the Office of the President and Senator Nancy Binay herself - to agree that we need a viable air force that is fast, capable of intercepting and could be immediately be deployed- which means JETS IN OUR AIR FORCE- and not just hot air.
