Background (Preamble):
Grand Champions are plastic model horses with brush able hair that stand about 7" that come with a variety of accessories. They were first created and own by Empire Toys in the late eighties.
In 2000, Empire declared bankruptcy and was then bought by Alpha International, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2001.
Collectors and myself are concerned about the outcome of the "Grand Champion" toy line.
Many Grand Champion collectors are worried that the company may stop creating and selling "Grand Champions." We would like for this not to happen, as we love collecting these wonderful horse models. It would be a shame to see these beautiful horses disappear from the stores.
