South Milwaukee has a breed specific dog ban. They also have 28 sexual predators living here.
At my last count there are 28 sexual predators living in South Milwaukee, WI with one living within a block of Lakeview elementary school. As I walk/drive thru the city I see people walking their pit bull or pit-bull mix. Luckily for them they did not encounter the police because they would have to go thru the pain and emotions of loosing what amounts to a member of their family as we did merely because she appears to have pit-bull in her.
Whereas such dogs not yet known to the police have done nothing wrong, yet these sexual predators have already been found guilty of some of the most heinous crimes against our children, are somehow allowed to reside in the city. I ask the city for nothing but fairness.
We, the signers, ask that the city change the ordinance to more resemble that of Oak Creeks, vicious dog law, which basically says any dog that attacks someone, or another animal be banned. Not JUST because they are of a specific breed.
