We'd very much like to see Brancaster Staithe and Burnham Deepdale become a Walkers Are Welcome community - www.walkersarewelcome.org.uk
This is something being actively encouraged by Norfolk Trails and Norfolk County Council - http://norfolktrails.wordpress.com/cool-businesses/
We meet most of the requirements of the Walkers Are Welcome scheme already, and we are quite happy to submit the annual report required.
As we already promote the Village with the Brancaster Staithe & Burnham Deepdale websites and leaflet - www.burnhamdeepdale.co.uk - It would be nice to promote Walkers Are Welcome across those marketing channels. All the businesses in the Village could also use the logo on their website and other marketing material.
As the Brancaster Staithe & Burnham Deepdale Leaflet now includes Brancaster businesses too, then this could be a Parish application rather than just Brancaster Staithe & Burnham Deepdale. It really depends on who signs the petition, so we can show support either in just Brancaster Staithe & Burnham Deepdale or in the whole Parish.
We need about 50 signatures from the community (living and/or working) and any other signatures from visitors would be most welcome.
We, the undersigned, support the application for Brancaster Staithe & Burnham Deepdale to become a WALKERS ARE WELCOME Village. We believe that in achieving this status we will bring useful benefits to local residents and the business community.
We support the campaign to secure better facilities for walkers, the continued maintenance of our public footpaths, the development of way marked trails and better access to the village by public transport, all of which are necessary to the success of the WALKERS ARE WELCOME application.
