Smoking can cause fatal risk to smokers as well as anyone that has come in contact with second hand smoke.
” Six million people die each year from smoking – more than from AIDS, malaria, and traffic accidents combined” (Singer).
“More Americans than ever want to ban smoking outright: 22% say so today, up from 12% in 2007. Separately, 55% would make smoking in all public places totally illegal, also a proposal that has gained considerable support since 2007” (Dugan).
We the undersigned call on the US government to ban the use of tobacco products in the United States, thus ensuring the health of non-smokers and urging current smokers to quit and reducing their risks of death from smoking.
