As you know homework has been around for ages, but in the past few years the demand for high school students completing homework has increased.
The increased demand of homework has caused high school students to struggle with after school activities such as, sports, work, important alone time, and socializing time.
The high amount of stress caused by the mixing of high school homework and after school activities has forced students to choose between having a life outside of school, and remaining in school. The outcome of the stress involved in the students has caused some of them to go as far as to withdraw from high school all together.
I say lets stop the stress associated with homework and the students and let them live their life as they should choose. The banishment of homework will allow the student to relax after eight plus hours of school, and allow them to return with a stress free fresh mind the next day.
As a former struggling high school student, I encourage all other students, parents, and teachers to sign this petition calling on the Board of Education, in hopes of banning all of high school homework that gets taken home, and in hopes of saving time in the short life we are already given.
