Credit reference agencies started back in the 70s by ONE COMMISIONER'S report!!
We as members o the public have never given our permission for these companies to hold data about us.
They were basically introduced via stealth in other word NO ONE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THEM!!!
They are virtually unregulated the fsa say they dont regulate or oversea them.
The oft office of fair trading keep an eye on them so called.
The information commissioner's office pass the buck.
These companies are immoral we have all seen the free ads "check your credit report" we do - then false information takes ages to be removed. Then you PAY to check your credit score.
Totally and utterly wrong. We want them closed down and go back to bank statements and affordability.
As members of the public we want to see ONE government body to oversea credit, i.e. the information commissioners office ONLY.
NOT separate agencies.
