A new political candidate in Delaware running on an unaffiliated ticket must obtain a certain amount of signatures from registered voters in the district to obtain access to the ballot in general elections.
The hope of this movement and petition is to send a message that the two party political system is no longer accepted as the status quo.
We the undersigned, call to action our fellow residents of Delaware's Sussex County, to enact change and progress by allowing a smaller, lesser known political candidate onto the ballot in local general elections.
By doing so it will be made to know that the inefficient and ineffective ways of the two party political system are no longer our country's only means of democracy.
