Background (Preamble):
NOTE: This list is purely to measure the amount of interest in the project described below.
As our group is small, and playing a minor roll in the global arena, it is important that we seek to be on cutting edge positions that will play a mayor rôle in the future. Therefore Assyrians/Syriacs/Chaldeans (from now on ASC), as well as other Christian groups from the Middle East, will have to be a well educated group. We need to strengthen our positions within the financial world, politics, scientific research, international law related issues and so on. Therefore promoting higher education, including graduate school, is of utter importance.
If the interest is high enough, a web forum will be created so that we can start planning, organizing and take the measures required to reach our goal.
In a world where many seem to aim for a quick way to earn money, especially amongst our people, the path to the goal will be long and troublesome. Therefore we must start making our children aware of the importance of education.
Remember, if we do not take any action, then do not expect any results. The faith is in our hands and it is time we stop being defensive and start doing something! It is time we pay back to our parents, and grandparents, for giving us the opportunities of education!
It is time to realize there is no such thing as a free lunch.
I can not do this by myself. But together we can!
