Laser attacks on aircraft have been increasing to alarming levels lately. There is now talk of imposing bans on portable and handheld laser devices, as the NSW police minister as well as Federal police vow to take action.
The signatories of this petition believe that a blanket ban on laser devices would be unfair and harmful to those who use them in a safe manner.
We, the undersigned, as law abiding citizens, strongly oppose any ban or restriction on laser devices below class IV.
We use lasers only in a responsible and safe manner and support penalties for those that do not.
