On March 16, 1993 an unspeakable act of violence occurred within the lines of 2CDO of the Canadian Airborne Regiment in Belet Uen, Somalia, Africa.

Elvin Kyle Brown was convicted of this act unjustly, given that he did in fact, attempt at several turns to stop the process by consulting his superiors.

Furthermore, with what we know about Mefloquine today, enough evidence is available to suggest that the entire incident was very likely influenced by the tragic side effects of the drug.

Kyle was indeed considered the scapegoat for the entire Regiment in the egregious judicial process leading to his conviction.

We, the undersigned, respectfully ask that the Government of Canada issue a public pardon with complete amnesty and financial compensation to Elvin Kyle Brown for the opprobrious conviction of manslaughter and torture.

The Amnesty/Pardon for Elvin Kyle Brown petition to The Government of Canada was written by Canadian Airborne Regiment Battle Group_Operation Deliverance and is in the category Military at GoPetition.
