I have come across many incidents where the post divorce laws in India are not up to the mark with the international standards. Since now, we have had a tremendous increase in the divorce rate in India, we must have proper and we defined custody laws.
One such law that needs CHANGE is the parental kidnapping. There is no law against parental abduction or parental kidnapping in India and I know many who have been a victim to this including me.
Getting a divorce from a spouse does not mean that your children are not yours any more and you have any less love towards them after the divorce.
My request to the esteemed Supreme Court of India is to please amend the laws and also treat parental kidnapping as a criminal offense and that it should be dealt with immediate action from the executive bodies without any further procrastination.
