At Lakeshore we work hard during hours and provide great customer service. Meanwhile, before and after the store is open we straighten the aisles, recover the necessary products, and check to make sure everythings in order.
During closed hours, many of the employees enjoy listening to their own music for several reasons:
1. Time goes by quicker.
2. The music helps us concentrate on our tasks, whether its restocking the store, or vacuuming the floors.
3. While we can listen to one type of music over the store speakers, not everyone has the same tastes, which is where personal music players come in handy.
I, as a Lakeshore employee, feel that mp3 players and ipods should be allowed again during closing hours. I understand that they aren't to be used during any other time.
I promise that using a music player will not affect my overall performance.
