Background (Preamble):
The rights of Americans promised by the constitution are constantly being restricted. This petition focuses on the Second Amendment rights. Currently under Georgia law, it is illegal to carry a firearm, or any other weapon, onto a college campus.
Violent crimes on college campuses are becoming more and more frequent every year. Violent offenders are guaranteed that nobody on campus, besides law enforcement, will be able to defend themselves against weapons.
This petition calls for Georgia Legislators to make it legal to carry a firearm on college campuses with a Georgia Handgun permit.

We, the undersigned, call on the Georgia State Legislature to legalize the carry of handguns on Georgia college and university campuses with a Georgia Firearms License.
