#Animal Welfare
Target:
University of the Ozarks
Region:
United States of America

We the students at Univeristy of the Ozarks have come to ecknowledge the stress of college life, and also things that can help reduce it.

We are asking for the college to allow cats in the dorms. The cats must be house cats, under 20 pounds, and self contained. They will not be wild life. Cats must be kept in the room and taken care of by the tenant. If they are not, they will be taken to the animal shelter.

Research from other schools across the state show that cats being allowed on campus are now very common. Cats help relive stress and worry and will also help to teach students how to take care of other things.

This overall petition is to support "Needy Paws" of Clarksville, Arkansas. Students will be able to adopt cats from the shelter.

We, the undersigned, call on The University of the Ozarks to allow house cats under 20 pounds in Smith, King, McLean, and apartments at the school.
