Allow Buckeye Valley Homeschoolers to Participate in Extracurricular/ Co-curricular Activities!

Because home educating families pay an equal share of taxes to support Buckeye Valley schools, homeschooled children in the district deserve the opportunity to participate in the same extracurricular/ co-curricular activities as their schooled counterparts.
Homeschooled families are closely monitored by the Ohio Department of Education and must educate their children in the same subjects, for an equal amount of hours, as schooled-children. Homeschooled students should be allowed the same enrichment activities as all other students in the district.
We, the undersigned, call on the Buckeye Valley Board of Education to allow home educated students in the district FULL participation in extracurricular and co-curricular activities by enrolling in any one Buckeye Valley course.
