Alcohol use in pregnancy: Labels needed to warn of risks
Result:
Thankyou to everyone who signed our 'Alcohol use in pregnancy: Labels needed to warn of risks.' Labelling of alcohol products as a prevention strategy has not gathered momentum, the rationale for rejection based on a lack of evidence that labelling creates attitudinal change. Labelling does however inform the public of alcohol related harms and the petition will be handed on to the Federal government.
We, the undersigned, request that the Federal Government of Australia legislate that all alcoholic beverages sold in Australia carry warning labels highlighting that drinking alcohol while pregnant may cause birth defects.
