I am reaching out to our community and our government to show our fellow americans that we are all united as a people rather than divided as a race.
We need to show compassion for the human race we have imprisoned and give them a chance for reform. Lets face it the reality is not all prisoners are guilty there are great people that come in numbers and strength that our country could use as a potential for great things in our future.
We need prison reform our families are dying and suffering. Lets give them a second chance at life and show them they do have a chance out here back in society by offering a transitional program back into society.
We, the people the undersigned, call on our Governor Jerry Brown to provide a transitional program with stronger commitment and believable goals to our fellow americans that took the wrong road in life and give them hope outside of prison walls.
In return, these reform options will give us our fathers, mothers and children back. Maybe not all but if even half, then the world could change in our everyday lives.
