Support the University Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative

The potential Tar-River University Neighborhood overlay district would cover the area north of 5th Street to the Tar River, and from Cotanche Street east to Elm Street. The University Neighborhood Revitalization initiative is targeted at improving the condition of properties, enhancing landlord/ tenant accountability, and strengthening code enforcement.
A temporary citizens working group, under the direction of the City of Greenville, will be established to implement the UNRI action items and to initiate any further needed improvements.
We, the undersigned, call on the City Council of Greenville, North Carolina to approve the proposed University Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative to address deteriorating properties, continuing safety issues, and inadequate code enforcement in the Tar-River University Neighborhood.
