Pressured by Congress and THE PRO- ISRAELI LOBBY, Washington, once again, turned a blind eye to Israel's blatant violation of International Law and Geneva Convention.
Back in February, President Obama vetoed an Arab (PLO) resolution at the UN Security Council condemning Israeli settlement activity as ILLEGAL and a "major obstacle to the achievement of a just, lasting and comprehensive peace", despite ALL 14 other members of the Security Council backing the resolution, which was co-sponsored by 130 COUNTRIES.
An estimated 500,000 Jews live in more than 100 settlements built since Israel's 1967 OCCUPATION. Despite collective condemnation by the International Community, Israel continues to issue NEW CONSTRUCTION permits to Israeli settlers OCCUPYING PALESTINIAN LAND.
"ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR within certain UNALIENABLE rights...Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness"....Palestinians should have this right too.
As ADVOCATES for HUMAN RIGHTS, it is OUR CIVIC DUTY to make sure OUR VOICE IS HEARD....
The United States MUST INSIST ON THE REMOVAL OF ALL ILLEGAL SETTLEMENTS......
