In general, particularly of the new generation, I have found that people litter for no apparent reason. It has become a British statement for many of the youth and shockingly, it is considered that littering is cool - To chuck plastic, paper ect. is cool... Yet, after many encounters with constant litterers, they are completely unaware of the damage it is causing to our environment.
I want to change this. I want to show people the damage it's causing and stop them in their tracks once and for all. Help me do that.

To whom this may concern,
I am writing on behalf of the environmentalists of Hampshire who have been, over a long period of time, concerned about the amount of litter being spread particularly by the younger/teenage generation.
Personally, I am not one to deceive the new generation as I am just 15 myself, but I have seen teenagers behave towards environmental problems badly and I want to change that.
I would like you to consider this issue and the possible answer that follows:
Firstly, the local police should give warnings to those who litter.
If the same people are seen littering again by the police, they should be charged.
To many people this may sound extreme but I believe it is the only answer to solve our forever growing problem.
Furthermore, I would appreciate it if you would support the young environmentalists of Hampshire and sign this petition.
