Jr. High Camp. Sr. High Camp. Camp X. Anyone who has attended one or all of these amazing camps will tell you it was one of their highlights of their summer ! But what about Kid's Camp? I know that when I attended Kid's Camp, I wasn't all that into services.
I was more worried about when I got to go swimming. My younger brother attended Kid's Camp last summer, and he couldn't wait to come home. He said that he didn't like it at all ! It's a great idea, but it seems that younger children aren't as focused on God as teenagers are. It seems that they just want to play, and be the little kids that they are.
Not only that, but almost every teenager I talk to that has attended one of these camps tells me that it was life impacting, but they wish they could have stayed longer, and gone deeper into their connection with God.
We, the undersigned, call on the staff of Heartland Conference Retreat Center to shorten the length of Kid's Camp, if not take it out completely, and lengthen Jr. High, Sr. High, and Camp X camps in an attempt to make these camps a more powerful experience.
