There MUST be a change to the Manitoba Justice Maintenance Enforcement Program Laws.... so many children and parents are doing WITHOUT THE BARE NECESSITIES because the are not receiving their COURT ORDERED SUPPORT PAYMENTS and if they do not on a regular basis.
This is for the CHILD that these laws effect...... No more should a parent get away scott free from supporting their children when the remaining parents struggle to make ends meet...... I am a Mother myself who has not received her Court Ordered Support payments in a year and the payer owes $ 6883.40 in ARREARS yet is working full time...he has been in Court 5 times and still nothing..... THIS HAS TO STOP AND IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE.
We the undersigned call to Manitoba Justice, Maintenance Enforcement for change in the Current Laws that are in place. More legal power must be given to ensure that Court Ordered Support Payments get to the children. No more should a Payer get away with not paying Court Ordered Child Support Payments.
Longer Jail time should be mandatory for debtors who refuse to make Child Support Payments.
The New Tougher Laws must be in step with current economic times.
Maintenance Enforcement should treat each client fairly and give each case the same importance...not the same old story...we are so busy..... this MUST CHANGE.
