The Memorial Chapel sits on the ground of Walter Reed Medical site and is part of the BRAC. This chapel has been the home for many Retiree citizens for over 100 years for those who have made DC their home once retiring from the Armed Forces.
The counsel has been actively involved with the wounded warrior program and soldiers who are healing from their wounds have found this to be a place of comfort.
Now that the BRAC is relocating the active armed forces to Bethesda, MD it has left a sinking hole in the hearts of those who worship in this community.
Members of the Memorial Chapel are petitioning to remain together in worshipping in the Memorial Chapel and would like the assistance of Congress Woman Eleanor Holmes Norton to assist in acquiring this location as a permanent home for those who are Retired and reside in the community.
