Camden Middle School is the oldest school in Camden County GA. It is has come to my attention that the middle school has a roach infestation problem that they can't seem to get rid of. The roaches are in the gym, classrooms, cafeteria, and kitchen. My children and friends have told me that the roaches crawl around on the tables and near the food where our children eat.
The environmental health department made a visit on February 8, 2011 and found rodent activity. Also, on February 7, 2011, I contacted the Board of Education and spoke with the principal of the middle school and was told that there no were no problems in the school and that the school get exterminated monthly. But I just found out from a reliable source that the exterminator has been coming out weekly.
We, the undersigned, call on the Camden County Board of Education to build us another school or have the current one renovated (by gutting out the entire building from top to bottom).
Our children deserve the right to attend a school free of rodents, not to have medical reactions due to the rodents, and to be able to consume food without the fear of rodents near by.
