The Directors of Old Mill Brewery, Independent Brewers, Mill Street, Snaith, Goole, DN14 9HU has made a hand-shaken agreement believed to be binding, with Mr Shaun Wilson of 19 Millfield Garth, Middleton-on-the-Wolds, Driffield, YO25 9UJ. The agreement stated that Mr Wilson would take on licenseeship of the Rose and Crown, Middleton-on-the-Wolds the week commencing 14th February 2011.
On Tuesday 8th February 2011 the Old Mill Brewery gave backword on this agreement, informing Mr Wilson that Old Mill Brewery has decided to convert the public house into five self-contained flats. Middleton is a small village with no amenities and will struggle to sustain new development. Local opinion is strong in it's desire to keep the Rose and Crown a public house.
We, the undersigned, call on the Old Mill Brewery to open the Rose and Crown, Middleton-on-the-Wolds as a public house.
