People should display our flag to honor those who lost their lives in the pursuit of our freedom and way of life, their families, and friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our freedoms and rights.
We should display the Union Flag to show that we live in a multicultural and dynamic country, what better way to show that we have integrated, joined and embraced different ideas and cultures, our flag displays the union of four nations as one.
Our patriotism pulled us through some of our nation’s tough times and it shouldn’t take another football game or attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our flag is the fabric of our country; it should envelop us all with a mature pride. As a nation we have made errors of judgment in our past and will continue to in our future but together we should be proud of our achievements and contribution to this planet.
We, the undersigned, call on the government of the United Kingdom that every residence, place of work, civil amenity and government property within the United kingdom shall be able and encouraged to fly and display one of the following flags, freely and without hindrance or the requirement of civil and /or government regulation;
1) The Union Flag,
2) The St George Flag,
3) The Cross of St Andrew,
4) The Welsh Dragon.
Building requirements for flag pole manufacture and mounting shall be published freely.
