I am totally disgusted at the announcement about the CRTC allowing Canada's internet providers to increase the rates for bandwidth usage.
We, as Canadians, already pay some of the highest internet fees in the world and another increase or bandwidth throttling is completely ludicrous.
Canada's major internet providers already show huge quarterly profits and are now making this move to push out the smaller competition.
I strongly urge all Canadians to speak out against this change and for our government to take a stand and legislate the CRTC to cease and desist this ridiculous proposition.
We, the undersigned, hereby request the CRTC to reverse their position on the increase of fees, for all users of internet bandwidth.
Canadians already pay some of the highest rates in the world and increasing fees by the major providers is nothing more than a ploy to sqeeze out the smaller competitors and retain a monopoly.
This petition will be passed on to the federal government to take action against this. Canadians are fed up with paying exorbitant rates for internet and this has to stop.
