On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at approximately 5 p.m., officers were called to speak with UMSL student Brian Massey in the Millenium Student Center regarding a dispute with another student.

Shortly after arriving, two of the officers handcuffed Massey and proceeded to beat him with their fists and kick him along his body and head. A crows of 70-100 students and employees rushed to Massey's aid to get the officers to stop but they did not.

Massey spent several days in the hospital and was briefly removed from his campus apartment, yet as of December 3, 2010 the offending officers still have their jobs and are still walking through the UM-St. Louis campus.

We, the undersigned, call on the administrators of the University of Missouri-St. Louis and the University of Missouri System to permanently remove from the UM-St. Louis campus the two officers who mercilessly beat Brian Massey on November 17, 2010 in the Millenium Student Center.

Due to overwhelming witness testimonies, we are confident that the officers were unprovoked by Massey and therefore are now considered a danger to student safety.
