Nottinghamshire County Council are proposing a service cut of reducing the opening hours at 28 smaller libraries, of which Woodthorpe is one. They are also proposing a cut of 75% of the fund to buy new books.
We are committed to the cause of keeping Woodthorpe library open for the community it serves.
We will not stand by and watch Nottinghamshire County Council reduce the hours, new books, staff and outreach that our library service provides.
We, the undersigned, call on Nottinghamshire County Council not to cut the opening hours of Woodthorpe library from 17.5 to 8 hours.
We also ask that they refrain from cutting the new book fund for Nottinghamshire by 75%.
