Australian animal rights organizations have proved by hidden video cameras, that in slaughterhouses, not all animals are treated or slaughtered humanely, some animals have been dismembered while still conscious and some have their throats cut while still conscious.
In the videos, it also shows workers using an electric prodders to zap the animals while they are walking in line to the 'stunning box', it also shows workers kicking, throwing, and punching the animals.
Animals were also seen being thrown into walls, having their heads stomped on and crushed, rocks thrown at them, etc. And the only way to prevent this from happening is to have CCTV cameras install into all slaughterhouses.
WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, URGE ALL AUSTRALIAN SUPERMARKETS TO INSIST THAT THEIR MEAT PRODUCTION PLANTS (SLAUGHTERHOUSES) INSTALL CCTV, AND TO ASK THAT THEY ONLY BUY MEAT FROM ANIMALS KILLED IN SLAUGHTERHOUSES FITTED WITH CCTV CAMERAS.
