The homeowners and landowners in or near the Rocky Branch Estates, built and purchased homes based on the location and its surroundings. The surrounding area is zoned agricultural and residential agricultural.
As homeowners, we feel the rezoning of the land in question from agricultural to heavy industrial would be a detriment to our property values and our way of life.
A heavy industrial development would create several disturbing factors including; a more than unsatisfactory view, heavy traffic including large trucks and machinery and noise and lights at all hours.
We, the undersigned, call on the City of Higginsville to vote NO to the rezoning of the Meinershagen land in question from agricultural to heavy industrial.
