No to Smoking Ban in Public Places In New Zealand

Is it just me or did our parents/grandparents waste their time fighting in wars etc to give us the freedom of speech and to do and be who we wanted to be or would everyone like to go back to being ruled over by someone and have no freedom to be yourself??, yes smoking is bad for you and as an x smoker I’m glade I quit, but I couldn’t careless if someone is smoking in the street because its their right to do so.

NOBODY has the right to take someone’s freedom away from them no matter what, if we start taking away peoples freedom things in this world are going get far worse and yea ok people who are against second hand smoke I get your argument but it doesn’t justify banning it in public places, I look back to the arguments and blogs people had when we banned smoking in bars etc, if you take away public places for people to smoke there will be trouble with it.. And besides like some people have said before me we are breathing in way more poisonous things in the air than a bit of smoke.
