An den Geschäftsführer von SES Astra, Herrn Kayser,

Im Moment kann man über Ihren Satelliten Astra 1H, der auf der Satellitenposition 19.2° positioniert ist, deutsches Fernsehen im Nahen Osten durch Overspill-Empfang empfangen. Wie auf Wikipedia zu lesen ist, soll Astra 1H durch Astra 1N 2011 ersetzt werden. Bei den neuen Satelliten, die Astra in letzter Zeit gestartet hat, wurde die Ausleuchtzone sehr stark auf Europa konzentriert, sodass in Gebieten, die außerhalb dieser Zone liegen, ein Overspill-Empfang nicht mehr möglich ist.

Unsere bitte an Astra:
Die Ausleuchtzone des neuen 1N Satelliten und allen nachfolgenden Satelliten auf 19.2°Ost so breit einzustellen, dass ein normaler Empfang in Zypern und der ganzen Türkei möglich wird beziehungsweise Overspill-Empfang im Nahen Osten weiterhin wie bisher möglich ist.

Please set the Footprint of the new Astra 1N Satellite and all succeeding Satellites (which will be positioned on 19.2° East), so that a normal reception of German and other channels in Cyprus and overspill reception in the Middle East will be possible like before with Astra 1H and Astra 1M Widebeam.
