Review pre natal and post natal care for infants in Northern Ireland

We the undersigned want appropriate changes made regarding the way pre natal care for the mother, labour and post natal care for infants is being carried out in Northern Ireland.
Nuchal transparency scan and cvs bloods available to all pregnant women. The practise of encouraging women to terminate for a diagnosis of Trisomy 13/18 and other abnormalities even when it is not certain be stopped. The term "incompatible with life" is incorrect and misleading as there are people alive in their 40s with these conditions. Any woman who has suffered a loss considered high risk in subsequent pregnancies.
We want regulations on care during labour. We want birth plans accepted as the legal contract that they are. We want all infants assessed for "high risk" of SIDS. All parents of newborns to receive the full facts on SIDS.
All babies whether in utero or after birth have the right to the best quality of medical care and life even if they are terminal. Every baby born is entitled to have every effort made to elevate its chance of survival regardless of its disabilities. Anything other than this is a violation of the child's rights and the duty of care he/she is entitled to.
All paediatric/obstetric staff have training in dealing with bereavement. Post mortem results be issued to bereaved families in a matter of weeks not months.
