A Planning Application has been made for the shop at 79 High Street, Eton, Berkshire, requesting to convert the ground floor from Retail shop to office A2.
The longevity and sustainability of Eton High street as a commercial street of independent retailers, serving the local community is at risk if existing shops are allowed to be converted to offices and residential uses. It is in the interest of the trading and residential communities of Eton that this does not happen to the Ground Floor of No 79 High Street, which should be kept as a Retail Shop.
We, the undersigned, call upon the planning department of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to refuse the planning application made to convert the ground floor from Retail shop to office A2 (Application number 10/00166) thus requiring it to continue as a Retail Shop.
