We the undersigned petition the U. K. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, The U.K. Kennel Club and the relevant Government Departments and all Cavalier Breeders to make The U K Cavalier Clubs Code of Best Practice a rule for its members with sanctions for those who ignore this code.

We also require all breeders to immediately implement and abide by the agreed health testing protocol for S M and MVD and all other pre-breeding health tests required for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and for the Kennel Club to disallow registrations, unless proven by authentic compliance certification of any Cavalier presented to the Club by breeders who continue to fail to observe their own clubs breeding guidelines , and who continue to breed without due regard to the future health and well being of this wonderful breed of dog "The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel " whose future is so uncertain by the non conformity and disinterest of many breeders.
