If you have ever attended a Peregian Originals event and enjoyed yourself, please sign our petition to ensure it continues to stay. It has been running successfully for the past 10 years, having grown, evolved and adjusted accordingly to take into account any concerns by Council, residents, retailers and the like.

The organisers of Peregian Originals have made every effort to work with the relevant authorities and concerned parties to reach a mutually acceptable working relationship. The organisers have at all times been patient, respectful and co-operative. This has been to no avail as Council, acting on the relentless tactics of a very small minority of residents, have decided to kill this much-loved community event.

In taking a dictatorship approach, Council made its decision without providing any avenues for discussion or alternative solutions to be considered, while citing unfounded reasons for shutting the event down.

If you are as incensed as we are by this move and its blatant disregard for what we, the people actually want, please speak up by signing this petition and attending our rally on the 20th of December 2009. Also, be sure to make yourselves heard via the local media. WE WILL BE HEARD.
