Background (Preamble):
31.2 percent of West Virginians are obese and have a body mass index greater than 30; all citizens in West Virginia will be able to make informed decisions while dining at restaurants in West Virginia with nutrition information displayed on the menu
Petition:
We the undersigned encourage the West Virginia legislature to enact a restaurant labeling law to require any chain restaurant with five or more outlets in West Virginia or ten or more nationally to list total calories on menus or menu boards.
