Petition for US National Lottery

We, the undersigned, Petition Congress to enact legislation to create a National Lottery with the proceeds being directed at paying down our National deficit.

We request that this lottery be set up to create up to 10 (ten) jackpot winners per month by drawing 10 (ten) sets of numbers, once a month, with each number entitling the winner to an equal share of the total jackpot. All National Lottery winnings should be tax free. Any number drawn that does not produce a winner will have its jackpot share added to the next drawing thereby increasing the total jackpot for the upcoming draw.

Jackpots should be determined by allotting one half of total proceeds from ticket sales with one half of proceeds being applied to our National Deficit. We further Petition Congress to include in this legislation that the income generated from the National Lottery may NOT be considered in any other legislation as a means to fund or cover the funding of said other legislation and that any reduction in the National Debt as a result of said lottery may also not be considered as justification of further debt resulting from any new legislation.
