San Francisco should not reward bigotry and hate

We, the residents and business owners of San Francisco, oppose any city contract that rewards those people who are working to deny the civil rights of the LGBT community.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is considering a contract to pay Yuba County, CA $1.5 million every year to accept our city’s trash. However, Yuba County residents and elected officials overwhelmingly supported Proposition 8 and their elected leaders have been leading the fight to deny same sex marriage.

We ask the San Francisco County Board of Supervisors to oppose this plan and send a message that hate will not be rewarded.
