I have watched my son go in and out of Juvenile Hall at the age of 14. He became desensitized to what would be his first first term at he age of 18 where he was on his way to Prison.
He is now 23 and will probably never get out of jail for his crimes that he and his friends committed and I think if there were more resources to enforce them to seek help instead of sending them back to prison, it would make them work on their real issues at hand and not become someone who is a product of the system.
For anyone who is lost behind a family member who chose to kill or rob and use drugs to commit violent acts. I think we should focus on helping them with Mental Health, job training, G.e.d classes, anger management, and for sober living places if they have no family members.
