The "proposed" greenway entrance at the end of the cul-de-sac of Greylock Ridge Road has gone back and forth on the decision of whether or not it will, in fact, be placed or not. During this time we have dealt with a number of "characters" walking the path and others lingering around our community and our property with their hoods over their head.

The cul-de-sac has seen increased foot traffic and noise and we have dealt with four wheelers and dirt bikes. We are concerned about the value of our homes in the entire community as well as the safety and security of our families.

The Community of Greylock, Matthews, NC petition the Town of Matthews to eliminate the proposed greenway entrance located on Greylock Ridge Road at the end of the cul-de-sac.

This proposed entranceway to the greenway has posed security concerns with people lingering too near the homes, throwing things in nearby yards, increased foot traffic and noise, dirt bikes and four wheelers, as well as increased vehicle movement. In addition, it is too steep and poses a safety concern for the children of Greylock.

Greylock community does not need more than one entranceway to the greenway and since this is the second one proposed we ask that it be eliminated.
