The gravesites on Pharr Road have been abandoned for decades. In this high traffic area, passerbys knowingly and unknowingly trash the grounds. Beer bottles are strewn about. The few remaining headstones have been toppled over and are generally uncared for.
The relocation would benefit those resting as they would have a sacred area set aside and supported by a beautiful state licensed perpetual care cemetery.
We, the undersigned, wish to express our concern regarding the removal of gravesites located at 431 Pharr Rd N.E., Atlanta Ga.
The cemetery is run-down, routinely vandalized, and unacceptably kept.
We therefore ask that the application for the relocation of these gravesites to a perpetually cared for cemetery be granted.
